Il chitarrista e compositore Roberto Tola torna con questo nuovo emozionante brano dal titolo The Journey Ahead, un blend di armonie jazz dai sapori latini e un intreccio melodico coinvolgente.

Attraverso questo nuovo progetto musicale, che sarà incluso nel nuovo album JAZZ JUNCTION (pubblicazione prevista entro il 2024), l’autore vuole trasmettere un messaggio di libertà, positività e consapevolezza di sé. Un momento opportuno per uscire dalla propria confort zone e guardare al futuro, e concentrarsi sulle possibilità che ci riserva il domani, piuttosto che guardare al passato con nostalgia. Scegliere la propria strada nella vita e fare le scelte che sentiamo giuste per noi, senza curarsi troppo del giudizio altrui. Ogni decisione comporta un rischio, ma meglio affrontarlo che rimpiangere strade non percorse e affrontare con fiducia il futuro che ci attende, qualsiasi forma prenda il nostro “viaggio”.

In The Journey Ahead, Roberto Tola mette in luce tutta la sua lunga esperienza strumentale, intrecciando accordi ricercati e assoli carichi di feeling.

Accanto a Roberto Tola alla chitarra, troviamo infatti il già noto ed eccezionale trombettista e flicornista Giovanni Amato (Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tom Harrell, Peter Eskine, Diane Schuur, Randy Brecker, Laura Pausini, Gino Paoli, Gianni Morandi, fra tanti altri..) ospite d’eccezione, che impreziosisce il brano con le sue doti strumentali.

Completano la band di giovanissimi musicisti: il pianista Luciano De La Rosa (José Luis Aguirre, Molle trío, Arrope etc etc..), il brillante bassista Maciek Szczyciński (John Scofield, Michał Urbaniak, Dominik Bukowski.. etc..), e il poliedrico batterista Esteban Rotunno (Toquinho, Luis Salinas.. e molti altri), onnipresenti nelle produzioni musicali di Roberto Tola nelle sue precedenti produzioni.

The Journey Ahead

Guitarist and composer Roberto Tola returns with this exciting new song entitled The Journey Ahead, a blend of jazz harmonies with Latin flavors and an engaging melodic interweaving.

Through this new musical project, which will be included in the new album JAZZ JUNCTION (expected to be released in 2024), the author wants to convey a message of freedom, positivity and self-awareness. An opportune moment to step out of one’s comfort zone and look to the future, and focus on the possibilities that tomorrow holds for us, rather than looking back with nostalgia. Choosing one’s own path in life and making the choices that we feel are right for us, without caring too much about the judgment of others. Every decision involves a risk, but it is better to face it than to regret roads not taken and to face with confidence the future that awaits us, whatever form our “journey” takes.

In The Journey Ahead, Roberto Tola highlights all his long instrumental experience, intertwining refined chords and solos full of feeling.

Alongside Roberto Tola on guitar, we find the already well-known and exceptional trumpeter and flugelhorn player Giovanni Amato (Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tom Harrell, Peter Eskine, Diane Schuur, Randy Brecker, Laura Pausini, Gino Paoli, Gianni Morandi, among many others..) as a special guest, who embellishes the song with his instrumental skills.

The band of very young musicians is completed by: the pianist Luciano De La Rosa (José Luis Aguirre, Molle trío, Arrope etc etc..), the brilliant bassist Maciek Szczyciński (John Scofield, Michał Urbaniak, Dominik Bukowski.. etc..), and the versatile drummer Esteban Rotunno (Toquinho, Luis Salinas.. and many others), omnipresent in Roberto Tola’s musical productions in his previous productions.
